It's been a while since I posted. I wanted to but there were so many outstanding things going on with the house that I wanted to wait until things were more solid.
Last Thursday, we had the house inspection, aside from the typical things found in a 60 year old home, we did find some plumbing issues. There was an ejector pump installed in the garage because the sewer pipe under the garage collapsed. Instead of ripping out the garage floor and the driveway the previous owners rigged a not so great solution. It's functional but eventually we do need think about doing it "right". As all things that happen in three's, this plumbing issue is no different.
When we moved into our first home 6 years ago a month later we had a cracked pipe because of tree roots, second, do I need to remind you of the plumbing issues at the rental? I didn't think so, this is house three for us where plumbing problems are following us.
Today we finally finalized the contract after the inspection. All that is left is the appraisal.
We've had painters, floor people, door people, plumbers, etc. give estimates and my head is spinning. When did things get so expensive?! I'm in the wrong line of work.
As a tribute to all the plumbing fun we've had and eventually will have at the new house this post is dedicated to working plumbing and fun with water. Of course cute pics of D make it even more fun.
The sweet taste of water
