This is the final post of Daniel's bday celebrationS!
On his actual b-day Ry and I took off of work to take him where he would be able to see as many cars as his heart desired, a car museum.
We started off with a healthy breakfast.
We were off to Volo car museum in Volo, IL. D took a snooze on the way there so he was nice and chipper when we got there. Ry was amazed at all the cars as much as D was.
Rows and rows of cool cars to look at.
The car used in Terminator 3 was there along with cars from, Indiana Jones, Blues Brothers, and other movies I never saw or remember.
The King was there to celebrate with us
The biggest thrill...Doc Hudson from the movie CARS was there as well
He was exhausted but oh so happy
We needed a quick celebration at home on his actual birthday
with more cake, of course.
and at 10:13pm, the exact moment of his birth, Ry and I stood over his crib and talked about the day he changed our lives forever and made us a family.

The Party
Pictures tell a thousand words...therefore there are so many pictures in this post. The party turned out great. I couldn't have asked for anything more...well maybe the fact that we forgot the pinata ticked us off little. Overall, we had a great time.
Mommy, daddy and D were sporting CARS shirts.
Everyone arrived on time and started having fun, especially the kids with painting their own license plates.
Before we knew it, it was eating time.
and in a flash it was done
Kids were playing everywhere
it was cake time before I could blink
My little peanut was a little shy as he looked at his big cake with 3 candles, I choked up a little as I sang, like I always do, he has changed so much this past year. Another year conquered
I must say the decision to change the flavor of the cake based on a recommendation was good because all the kids loved the cake, including the guest of honor. He had it on his actual birthday as well, he kept asking for more. The flavor, peach and passion fruit. Incredible!
There were tons of presents and this little guy was beat
Thanks to everyone who attended
After all of our friends left we waited to give our gift to D. The anticipation for daddy was overwhelming. He worked his little heart out putting this thing together.
The reveal had to be just right for daddy....
His own
CAR!
including the secret service
My baby boy celebrated his third birthday and I was beaming with pride as I looked at him when he snored peacefully that night.
More pics to come of his actual birthday events with a little remodel thrown into the mix.

The Preparation Part 1
Here are some snap shots of a few party details. My mother in law made this wonderful arrangement of goodies; cookies and brownies. They were a hit. She also brought an edible arrangment. It went like crazy. When D went to sleep that night Ry and I were sitting on our living room couch devouring the chocolate covered apples. I must say they taste even better than strawberries. Who knew!

In the name of love
We have been spending more time outside since the weather has been nice, but looking at our weather predictor on our fridge, it's showing more snow. Of course on Saturday, the day of D's b-day party.
This weekend we had a play date on Saturday that was a success. Sunday, I ventured out of my comfort zone to support my husband's love of comics. We went to the comic book convention. Yes, that's love. To my surprise nerds of all ages were there. A few dressed up folks kept us entertained. I was not one of them. Ha!
We enjoyed some much needed family time. While daddy was getting an autograph, D and I walked the aisles and came across a kid section but all he needed was a car.
To his disappointment, it did not open. As soon as we left there was a guy with a rag and spray cleaning his little finger prints off. How dare they?
We colored a little...
D got a new Superman shirt (that cost double of what it would have at Wal-mart)
Superman was not having any pictures taken
except with daddy of course
who wore his own superman shirt.
D was exhausted but did great. He went potty 3 times there and had no accidents!!!
He has been doing wonderful at the new sitter's and loves seeing his buddy, Kevin. I love seeing him happy and healthy, for a change.
My dining room is getting more crowded with party supplies. The blog will be light this week but a full report of the party will surely make up for it. I'm sure the anticipation is killing y'all. I'm reminding myself to take tons of pictures and to enjoy it and my baby. I'm not stressed, just making lists to help me stay organized. I can't believe my baby will be 3. He has changed so much in the last 2 months. Ry and I can't believe his vocabulary, he doesn't stop talking. We love it.
We have decided to take off of work on D's actual birthday, and celebrate in a special way, just the three of us! There will be an update on that too. Stay tuned.
