We officially survived move #2. We are slowly trying to get into the swing of things. First night, since we did not put D's crib together we let him sleep with us one last night. Here are my two men taking over the bed. Notice Daniel's foot hanging over the bed, he loves doing that.
We put his crib together and he's been doing quite well adjusting sleeping in it. The crib was quite simple to put together. Each move we make we are becoming pros in putting furniture together, setting up cable, Internet and phone.
Our goodbyes with Grandma and Grandpa M on Sunday was emotional. We all cried. They were so great to us and Daniel loved staying there. Today Grandma watched Daniel after not seeing him yesterday and he just glowed when he saw her this morning. She is such a good sitter/grandma/mom/MIL. We are blessed to have them both in our lives. For the past 3 weeks we have had breakfast, lunch and dinner made, our child watched, our garbage at the old rental taken out, snow shoveled and received the most emotional support I could ever need. We love you guys! We had a lot of laughs too; making fun of grandpa and his food saver (I loved it so much we got it as our goodbye gift :), having midnight conversations with my MIL as all the men were sleeping, having tasty rice pudding with my MIL as all the men were sleeping, having a glass of wine as the men were sleeping, you see the trend?
Their gift was this little cutie pie living with them...it's no wonder they cried. Look at that face! I love what his shirt says, of course. No place like home with mommy.
Thanks for every one's support during this difficult time; with moving and all the drama I personally was ready to have a break down. With time we are hoping to find our home and have a new beginning. Now, I have to get caught up on my Tivo shows!!!
